Privacy Policy — Marcadia
Last updated: October 16, 2026 · App version: 1.3.1
1. Summary
- Marcadia has no server: it does not collect, transmit or share your personal data with us or with third parties.
- No account or sign-up. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Your habits, check-ins, notes and settings are stored only on your phone.
2. Data on your device
Habits, check-ins, notes, reminders, achievements, challenges and preferences are kept in the app's private storage. We have no access to them. Uninstalling the app deletes them from your phone, except for backups you saved yourself. The optional profile photo is chosen with the system photo picker and a copy is stored only inside the app.
3. Backups
- Phone folder (free): the backup is saved to a folder on your phone that you choose with the system picker. The app only accesses that folder.
- Your Google Drive (Pro): with Pro you can also save the backup to a folder in your own Google Drive, chosen with the system picker. The file stays in your Google account and is uploaded by your phone's Drive app, subject to Google's privacy policy.
- We have no server and never receive your backups.
- If Android backup is turned on, the system may include the app's data according to your Google settings. You can turn it off in Android settings.
4. Challenges with friends and the challenge selfie
- Challenges use no server of ours. The invitation and progress travel inside the message or link (
https://marcadia.pages.dev/reto#d=…) that you send via WhatsApp or another app. The challenge data sits after the#, which browsers never send to our website; the page only shows it on your own device. - Challenge selfie: the optional photo is taken with the system camera (the app does not request the camera permission) and is stored only on your phone (Pictures/Marcadia folder). It is shared only if you choose to send it via WhatsApp or the system share sheet. It is never uploaded to us (we have no servers).
5. Purchases
Marcadia Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play Billing. Google handles payment under its policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy); we never receive your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether the purchase is active, to unlock Pro and restore it on another phone.
6. Permissions
- Notifications: habit reminders and the “Done” button.
- Exact alarms: so reminders arrive on time (you grant it and can revoke it).
- Run at startup: reschedule reminders after the phone restarts.
- Biometrics: optional fingerprint lock (Pro). Android handles the fingerprint; the app never receives it.
- Vibration (VIBRATE): only for haptic feedback when you mark a habit. It can be turned off in Settings and gives access to no data.
- Billing, Internet and network state: used by Google Play libraries to buy, restore Pro or rate the app. Marcadia never sends your habits to any server.
The app does not request location, contacts, camera, microphone or full photo-library permissions.
7. Children
The app is not specifically directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.
8. Your rights
Since we process no personal data, we hold no data of yours to access, correct or delete. You can delete your data by uninstalling the app (or clearing its data in Android settings) and deleting your backups.
9. Changes
If a future version changes how data is handled, we will update this page and its date before releasing it.
10. This website
This website is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies, analytics, trackers or external resources. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver the pages, under its privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). Challenge data sits after the # in the link and is never sent to the website.
